Florian VERNET (Béziers, 1941) is an Occitan linguist, pedagogue and author. Former professor of Occitan at the Paul Valéry University of Montpellier, he is also a member of the Acadèmia Occitana-Consistòri del Gai Saber and also of the linguistic council of the Permanent Congress of Lenga Occitana.
