After six years of work, this dictionary brings central forms and variants of the Languedoc language as well as modern legacy, addressing all lexical fields (scientific, literary, technological, economic, etc ...) to respond to all public who request language standardized and reliable.
The dictionary (limited to spelling and grammar of 119 000 entries, the vowel alternations of verbs, the formation of derivatives) incorporates all the recommendations of the CLO (Council of the Occitan language) and is based more generally on the pan solutions - Romance in neologisms and terminology.
It also contains all the proper names: names of countries, regions, rivers, seas, mountains, major cities and their inhabitants, names, characters and heroes of antiquity.
The book is complemented by an important introduction to occitan lexicography, which details extensively the problems in its drafting. It also gives a list of faults and shells from the dictionary of Alibert.
It will be also useful to other dialects, for the part methodology and terminology, and of course for all pan-dialectal lexicon.
