The Occitan cross, known as Languedoc, Provence or Toulouse (in heraldry), is a type of cross that serves as an emblem for Occitania and several of its components (former provinces, departments, towns and villages in France, Italy or Spain).
Note that in fact, it is of Provençal origin. This identity symbol of a language and a culture (of love), was carried by the counts of Provence, Forcalquier and the viscounts of Marseille, before passing into Toulouse.
