Le petit train quitte son train-train,

sort de Paris triste et tout gris,

Parcourt les champs tout en chantant,

Sous un tunnel ouvre ses prunelles.

Il faut déjà nuit, plus un bruit;

Petit train q'élance en silence.

Dormir en gare, gare au cauchemar !

Mais un beau rêve vient le bercer...

Lo pichon tren daissa sa rotina,

sortís de París, triste e plan gris.

Corrís pels camps en tot cantant,

Jos un tunèl dubrís las prunas.

Fa nuèch, jà, pas mai de bruch;

Pichon tren se ronça en silenci.

Dormir a la gara, mèfi a la cachavièlha !

Mas un polit sòmi lo ven breçar...

The little train leaves its routine,
