For 29 years, the phenomenal Padena, alias Robert Marty, travels all over the country from city to village, from recitals to evenings and gathered around him all the generations. Furnished with his blouse and his beret, vaquí Padena and all his family of Padenas, Padenous, a whole team released his stories in the language of oc to laugh heartily!

The humor of Padena helps us to better understand what humor is in general. Through his practice of the Òc language, his role becomes major. With his sluices, far from ridiculing his own audience, far from ridiculing the language by confining it in a restricted use (rurality, local specificity, grivoiseries), he succeeds, establishing with his public a close connivance in the evocation of their universes cultural, gently mocking the old through by helping people to pass them without developing any shame of what they had been, no occultation of their own history.
