The author:
Roger Lassaque was born in Paris the very day of the Liberation; he grew up in the Occitan diaspora frequented by his Lot father and his Aveyron mother. Having renounced the university career to live in the family property of the Lot, he was appointed in 1982 professor of letters at the high school of Fumel where he restored the chair of Occitan. Mayor of his commune since 1995, he was one of the creators of the association of Mayors and elected representatives of the Occitans which he has held the presidency since 2002. In 2006 he was also entrusted with the presidency of the Institute of Occitan Studies of the Lot. managed to expand and diversify activities. Since 2010 he has also been a member of the Acadèmia Occitana.


The publisher:
The IEO d'Òlt is financially supported by the State, the MP Region and the Lot Department; he was able to federate all Occitan circles of the Lot, hire various employees and support many local projects.
