The second volume of the novel "Fino e Cesar" takes place mainly in the countryside of Allauch, more precisely in the district of Barbarau, on the road that goes from the village of Allauch to Valentine. There in Barbarau, this couple of young transhumant shepherds takes charge of the farm of the Castle of Montespin. The action develops between the farmhouses, the village festivals, the markets of the big city of Marseille with its port, its old Abbey of Saint-Victor, and its Canebière crowded with horses, but already mixed with the cars more and more numerous. The characters will make us discover the old districts with its fishermen of Saint-Jean, the creeks, the hot districts of Marseilles... the islands, the Sainte Baume and Sainte Marie Magdeleine... The fire of the New Galleries in the center of Marseilles at the end of 1938 comes to close this second volume.



This novel "Fino e Cesar" written in three volumes, is entirely written in the language of Oc of Provence, this exquisite Provençal Occitan language which remains a regional reality but which often, alas, by lack of information is associated with a past linguistic myth. However it is nothing of it... ...
