The particularity of the collection presented here is that it gathers legends coming mostly from the oral tradition, collected for more than 40 years within the framework of the CORDAE La Talvera association or by other researchers, in the whole Occitanie region including the Catalan country.

You will find stories referring to a mythical time, where the Devil, the giants and the Virgin in turn shape the landscape, historical legends ranging from the first centuries to the French Revolution, but also more contemporary legends (from the 19th century to the present day) populated with wolves, bandits and wild women...
Floating constantly between the real and the imaginary, the factual and the fictional, and between the world of men and the world of the gods, the legend almost always tells the story or the destiny of the communities by reporting events anchored in the local life.
