Highly documented, this richly illustrated book transports us from the medieval site of the castle of Arzeliers to the castle of Perrinet in Laragne. He then introduces us to the economic life with, among others, the mill, the pasta factory and the dairy which were the jewels of his industrial era, then the polemical construction of the psychiatric hospital. And of course, he does not forget the dynamic associative and sporting life, evoking municipal harmony, Laragne Sports football and the famous criterium bouliste, then, taking the height, it takes us on the mountain of Chabre.


The author Jacques Reynaud, native of the Hautes-Alpes, with ancient family roots anchored in the valley of the Buëch, is also a genealogy enthusiast.
