Papet J joined the Massilia Sound System in 1985 and rediscovered reggae with the explosion of modern Dancehall characterized by the digital sounds of music and the predominant role of MCs. Very influenced by these new forms of reggae, he will build a modern and original style becoming a pioneer of the fast style in French.

40 years later, it is as a veteran of this style that he returns, without letting go of his appetite for modernity and his will to be part of a musical avant-garde of a constantly renewed genre. For this new album, Papet J surrounded himself with Gregory Lampis alias Puppa Greg who put his qualities of multi-instrumentalist at the service of this musical composition and together, they elaborated the pieces. Their meeting is not recent, they have shared many scenes and musical adventures together and refined their relationship over time.

To complete this collaboration, Papet J had the idea to call upon his two accomplices of Massilia Sound System: DJ Kayalik and Moussu T for the final realization of this new disc. And it is naturally that he turned to the label of Massilia Sound System, Manivette Records to produce it.
