The poet:

Born on September 8, 1830 in Maillane, Frédéric Mistral is the founding father of Félibrige. If the author of Calendau is the best known of the writers of Oc language thanks to his Nobel Prize of literature obtained in 1904, Mirèio remains Master Masterpiece masterpiece that Lamartine revealed to the world in its 40th interview. Mistral died in Maillane on 25 March 1914.
