La grande eau verte du poème - La granda aiga verda del poema - Jean-Louis Kerangueven

A collection of poems evoking the sea and marine animals.

The poem's great green water can be read as a eulogy of all seas, and a tribute to the Occitan land that welcomed the poet and gave him a poetic approach to the “other sea”.

Bilingual French-Occitan, Occitan translation by Jean-Claude Forêt.
Editions L'Harmattan.

The author:

Jean-Louis Kerangueven, a poet of Breton origin adopted from Montpellier, is fond of saying that he found himself deposited on Occitan soil by an unforeseen equinox tide. Dragging his nets of exile behind him, he has published in a variety of magazines, as well as some fifteen books, some of which have won awards. Obsessed by the quest for the exact word, which he owes to the influence of Guillevic and the Chinese poets, he often takes refuge in the canopy to count the waves, those of the Ocean as well as those of the Grande Bleue.
