« Gerard Zuchetto writes poetry in Occitan that is an adaptation of troubadour forms (the verbal inversions and figures— ‘la flor inversa’ —in the work of Raimbaut d’Aurenga).

Carrying on the tradition of Raimbaut and his verbal inversions, Gerard Zuchetto ‘troubles trobar’ by inverting syntactical structures of certain words to produce ‘words without ideas/ideas without words’.
His poetry comes from the perspective of a musician who works with troubadour poetry as music and sound, as well as a living vernacular - a medieval song practice constantly adapting to a contemporary audience yet faithful to the form of troubadour art or ‘trobar’.
