Lo Tresaur dau Trièvas (Lou trésòr dòou Trièva) - Han Schook, Lanri Terras
Glossary of Trièves Occitan and Triévoise culture.
Over 4600 words of the local language, Occitan Triévois, collected from all over this Isère region; hundreds of proverbs and savory expressions, with details of traditions and toponymy.
The Trièves is a group of 27 villages in the south of the Isère department (France).
Frédéric Mistral's great dictionary is called Le Trésor du Félibrige, so the Trièves treasure may be a tribute to Mistral's work, and in any case, every language is a treasure, a treasure that always enriches those who share it!
Lo Pitron.
The author:
Han Schook (1943 - 2016) was an Occitan-speaking writer, memory collector and author of a lexicon of Trievas. This former mechanic and farmer left the Netherlands after 1968 and, in the Drôme, defended the language of his adopted country.
