The author:

Author without "e" and actress, Lydie Balloux was interested in Occitan thanks to the singing and the traditional dance that she practices. After novels and documentaries, she wrote these texts which she entrusted the translation to her son. She pencils from time to time.



The translator:


Gabrièu Balloux has a master's degree in agronomy and environment, and a territorial development; member of the IEO, he researches the Gascon of the Entre-deux-Mers, Garonne and Bazadais valleys, toponymy and ethnobotany. He likes to draw since very young.


The illustrator:

Henri Balloux, draftsman, father of the author, was a professor of mathematics-physics-chemistry but also a multi-disciplinary artist: portraitist, sculptor, marquetry ...

Obgèits shens via ? Anèm donc ! Lo culhèir nos escapa, la cubèrta linca, la pinconèra de lutz nos hèi de clinhaments d’ulh, l’escalon s’espisha devath nòstes pès distrèits, la pelha virona dens lo vent, la clau s’es estujada...
Inventi una via de cada jorn plenha de fantasias ont la solituda n’exista pas mèi : obgèits de l’ostau que mòblatz ma via, m’escarrebilhi en imaginant vòstas escarcalhadas escarnialas, vòstas protestacions, vòstes avòts ahugats amèi quauquas satisfaccions.

Parlatz selhas, esbrifatz cotèths, desvelatz-vos pòrta-mantèths, hauçatz lo ton escalas : la paraula vos es balhada !
Aqueste obratge assaja, per la poesia mèi l’umor, d’hèser parlar obgèits d’autes còps e d’adara, « d’arunan, d’engan e de doman ». Obgèits inanimats, atz la paraula !
