Textes occitans de la Comuna de Marselha -  Glaudi Barsotti
(Occitan texts of the Commune de Marseille)

This book on the commented Occitan texts of the Commune of Marseille by Claude Barsotti is a historical study bringing a new perspective on the unknown history of the Marseilles Commune (1870-1871) from an analysis of unpublished texts in Provençal maritime , the Occitan of Marseille. This work completes the contribution to the collective work "Around the Commune of Marseille" published in 2013 by Syllepse / Promemo.

After the crushing of the Paris Commune, the governments of Thiers and the so-called "Moral Order", continue the repression. In Marseilles, the city remains in a state of siege until 1876 and the general Espivent orders the raids and the descents of police and makes stop people who were satisfied to manifest only the 4 of September of 1870! It is the Republic that is targeted. The International is ruthlessly hunted down. But after MacMahon's coup on May 16, 1877, and the October 14 and 28, 1877 elections, which give a Republican majority to the Chamber of Deputies, the Republic is well established. The song '' The cursed bread '', by Aristobule Baux, is an illustration of the difficulties endured by families of communards imprisoned or deported to Algeria and New Caledonia.

The book includes a study by Claude Barsotti with a preface by Pierre Assante and an afterword by Bernard Regaudiat in Occitan, an iconographic book, a French translation.
