Pollencity is the city of flowers and gardens. On their eighth birthday, all children receive a very special and precious gift. They receive their seed. The seeds are all different, and each one is unique in the world. Like all children her age, Lena discovers her seed on Easter morning, but it's not a seed... it's a pebble. What will become of Lena? A pebble has never produced a flower, so if Lena finds herself without a flower, she won't have a garden, which would be catastrophic. They've never seen anything like it in Pollenciutat... This year, Lena will learn that to grow, it's sometimes necessary to stray from the beaten track and show patience and a little imagination.

Pollenciutat es la vila de las flors e dels jardins. L'annada que fan lors uèch ans, totes los mainatges i recebon un present plan particular e plan preciós. Recebon lor grana. Las granas son totas diferentas e caduna es unica al mond. Coma totes los mainatges de son atge, Lenà descobrís sa grana al matin de Pascas, mas es pas una grana… Es un calhau. Que va venir Lenà ? Un calhau a pas jamai balhat de flor, se Lenà se retròba sens flor, aurà pas de jardin, aquò seriá catastrofic. Jamai an pas vist aquò a Pollenciutat… Aquesta annada Lenà va aprene que per créisser, se cal de còps alunhar dels camins batuts e far pròva de paciéncia e d'un pauc d'imaginacion.

The words follow one another, evoking a thousand colors that scatter in flashes of light, becoming sounds with joyful accents that roll in our ears and caress our souls.
